Christmas 2008

I'm just quickly posting a few pics from Christmas day. We have a busy week (going to AYC today until Wednesday). We had a wonderful Christmas. The boys had such a great time opening gifts! It was a great day, but it went by way too fast!

We got both the boys bikes. They were so excited!!

When they were almost finished, Dylan said "one more present"!
After opening gifts at our house, we went to Aunt MoMo's house (Morgan) to open gifts with my family. This is Maddox tearing into another gift. He had so much fun just ripping the paper. He would then say "oooh". Funny story about Maddox was mom got him a pair of shoes. She wrapped them even though she knew he would be bored with shoes. But to our surprise, when he opened them, he got this huge smile on his face and said "oooh, shoes!" and wanted them on right then! He then wore them for most of the day! It was so funny!

Dylan got a new guitar! He was very happy and is being very careful taking care of his "real guitar". He was jamming out as soon as he got it opened!

Group of the guys playing with Garrison's PCP. Do they ever get too old to play those games?

Another cute thing Dylan said was when we gave him his stocking. He dumped everything out and was going through all the little things we put in there. He said "Oh, wow, thanks guys!!!" Russell and I got the biggest kick out of that. That was our present from him on Christmas day! Well, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and hope you have a Happy New Year!

Robinson Family Portraits

We went to visit Russell's family back at Thanksgiving and we were able to stay several days. We had a great time visiting with them! While we were there we had family pictures made. It had been quite a while since the last ones were made! They turned out really good, so if you would like to view the slideshow, click here:

Weekend Christmas Fun!

We went to Stone Mountain on Saturday afternoon and had a great time! They have a ton of Christmas lights all throughout the park. It was pretty crowded so we did not get to do everything, but we enjoyed a show of Christmas carols and the train ride. We stood in line for an hour just to get on the train!! We didn't stay for the finale, we could only take so much of playing bumper strollers with the other people. Here is a few pictures of the weekend.

This is Dylan in front of two of the many trees there!

This is a HUGE Christmas tree, the boys were amazed by it!
Maddox enjoying the train ride!

The boys before church this morning. Not the greatest picture since they were not in the mood for pictures, but cute anyway. They looked sharp in their little suits for Christmas service today! I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful Christmas season!

Say, Is that Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer?

Nope, it's just Maddox. He fell almost two weeks ago at the mall and this is what he looked like afterwards!! It was so pitiful and we thought his nose was broken for a couple of days there, but it is now almost back to normal. Here is a picture the day after it happened. He was still cute and sweet, even though he was injured!

Also, here is a couple of pictures of Dylan, who is becoming a little performer over the Christmas holidays! The first one is the Christmas musical on this past Sunday at our church. He was not into it at first, but slowly warmed up through the rest of it. I was just happy he stayed up there the whole time (except for a little potty break during the morning service musical!! Haha!) He went to all of the practices the last couple of months, so I was relieved that he stayed up there and behaved! All of the children did such a great job!

This is a picture of the children singing at our Christmas dinner a couple of weeks ago. They just did two of the songs from the musical. They did really great!

Happy Birthday, Adara!

Today is Adara Fain's (one of Dylan's favorite people in the world!) 7th birthday. She is a very special girl and we love her lots! Happy Birthday, Adara! This is a picture of Dylan and Adara after the children's Christmas musical this morning.

Cutest Wiseman in History!

Dylan was supposed to dress up as one of the characters in the Christmas story for preschool today. They were going to act out the Christmas story and have an early birthday party for Jesus. We dressed Dylan as one of the wisemen, and I must say he was a very cute (but grumpy) wiseman. He was not really wanting to wear it this morning, but his teacher said he was fine once he got into class and they had a great time. We have been very busy the last few weeks and it is not going to slow down any time soon! Hopefully I can slow down long enough to post pictures here and there. Hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season!!

Featuring....Maddox!

Why is it that if one of your kids is in the mood for pictures, the other one is not? When I told Maddox to let me take a picture, he ran right over to the door and smiled! Dylan was not in the mood, and I was not in the mood to make him!! So here are a couple of pictures of cute little Maddox! We had a great time at Dylan's Thanksgiving Feast & play at his school today. Unfortunately, my camera would not take a good picture in their sanctuary. But my mom got some pictures so hopefully I will have some to share with you soon!

Dylan's First Drum Lesson

Dylan had his first drum lesson this evening. Dylan is very excited to be able to play on a big drum set, and along with one of his favorite people, Brandon Marin. He is going to be teaching Dylan on his drum set in the basement of their home. Dylan's PawPaw has been showing him some things as well. I thought you might want to see the pics of the first lesson of our future drummer!

AARGH! Halloween Fun With Me Pirates!!

Dylan and Maddox were little pirates for Halloween, and I must say that they were the cutest pirates I have ever seen! We had our annual Trunk-or-Treat at our church and we had a great time! There were moon slides, pony rides, a hay ride and of course, lots of CANDY! Maddox wasn't thrilled about the hat at first, but after much encouragement he wore it most of the night.

This is the best pics that I have of them so far. These are the ones that I took, but there was several others who took pics also. If I get any better ones, I will share later! Papaw, Mamaw, Chelsea and Megan also came to visit this weekend and we had so much fun spending time with them. Russell and I were also glad to have their help with the boys during this busy weekend!

Proud Mommy Moment

We had Ch.I.P.Z. yesterday (Children In the Power Zone). This is for ages 4-9. Russell and I have the privilege of being over this group of kids at our church. At the morning service, we did not have a drummer so my little Dylan filled in for us. This was his first service to play the drums. He did a great job, playing quietly and on beat. Some of kids did not even notice he was up there. I was not able to get a picture of him because we did not want to draw attention to him in front of the other children. Also, it was not planned so I did not have the camera or video camera. But I have a feeling there will be many other events and services he will be playing for! Not to worry about little Maddox being left out in the music department, he is following right along, picking up on his own moves. He loves to sing, dance, preach & play drums also. I'm excited to see how God is going to use our two talented little boys!

Pumpkin Fun!!

Today we went to the Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain and we had a GREAT time! It was absolutely beautiful weather, perfect for outdoor fun! The boys had a blast looking at all the pumpkins. Dylan even got to paint a pumpkin! Maddox just threw the little pumpkins instead of painting them. They got to go through a maze, visit a pumpkin patch, paint pumpkins, see a Pumpkin parade, along with the normal fun things to do, like Dylan's favorite - the train! Here are a few pictures of the boys enjoying their day!

Maddox Gets Another Haircut

Maddox, who has a lot of hair, had his first haircut back in July and was already looking a little shaggy last week. His Uncle Scott volunteered to cut it and save me some money. He did a great job - thanks, Uncle Scott!! Dylan was not in the mood so he will have to get his hair cut later. But he was there to supervise and make sure it was done correctly. So it looks like Uncle Scott will be the boys new barber.

Boys Will Be Boys!!

For my first post, I thought I would share pictures of my boys in the last few days. With these two, there is never a dull moment! In the first picture, Dylan is showing off Pepper's big ears. We have two beagles, Salt and Pepper (Dylan named them!) Then, Dylan & Maddox are cleaning out Mommy's cabinets. And Dylan came up with a new game: pull Maddox by the p.j.'s. Maddox loved Dylan pulling him all around the house!
